Webster Street Academy

Webster Street Academy’s educational philosophy is that learning must start at the level where the student is truly functioning and not at a level others believe to be appropriate for that child. We recognize the importance of each student realizing his or her individual vision for the future, and the importance of them becoming productive members of society, so our aim is to help facilitate these ends with individually tailored assistance. Therapeutic services are provided in the context of a school day, allowing for more comfortable integration into a student's routine. We also provide therapeutic services in the student’s home through our Outreach Program.

Webster Street Academy is based on the model of community partnerships and is not a charter or public school. The Academy partners with local school districts to intervene with adolescents between the ages of 12 and 17 who are at risk of suspension or expulsion from school due to emotional problems or behavioral difficulties.

Members of the Webster Street Academy staff are fully licensed in their appropriate fields of profession, have routine background checks, and receive annual training in areas such as First Aid/CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.

More than 3,000 children have attended the Academy to date.

Outpatient Services
Outpatient service is based on the concept that children often need mental health supports even if they are maintaining adequate school performance.  

Outreach Services
Outreach Services address the ever-growing number of students in public and charter schools who require intermittent mental health supports in order to remain successful.
